Describe the Important Internet Properties That Affect...
Describe the important Internet properties that affect marketing and the fundamental changes the Internet has brought to marketing. According to Strauss and Frost (2009), the Internet properties have affected the way marketing should be done and delivered to the consumers. Internet data is sent in bits and not in atoms ââ¬â all the data and information are being stored and sent to the consumers in digital form. The digital form cannot be touch, tasted or smelled. In contrast to other types of marketing, the seller does not need to deliver the items itself for inspection by the consumer before it is being purchased. 1. Internet is a mediating technology ââ¬â anywhere in the world, music and other data is being passed on and shared. Thisâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Marketers have practically lost control of brand images due to blogs, online bulletin boards, and other online communication, and must consistently underpromise and over deliver. Other changes: Market fragmentation. The Internet put finality to this trend by extending to its ultimateââ¬âa market size of one customerââ¬âand prompted marketers to create products and communication to small target groups. Death of distance. Geographic location is no longer a factor when collaborating with business partners, supply chain firms, or customers, or just chatting with friends. Time compression. Time is not a factor with Internet communication between firms and their stakeholders. Online stores can be open 24/7; people can communicate as their schedules permit; times zones disappear for managers collaborating with partners on other continents. Critical knowledge management. In the digital world, customer information is easy and inexpensive to gather, store, and analyze. Managers can track marketing results as plans are implemented, receiving play-by-play reports. However, turning huge databases into meaningful knowledge to guide strategic decisions is a major challenge. Interdisciplinary focus. Sexting Mobile Phone and Highly Charged Issues Essay
Teen ââ¬Å"Sextingâ⬠Sexting ââ¬â teens sending sexually explicit photos of themselves via cell phones, email, or instand message ââ¬â has become the latest in a line of highly charged issues involving kids and the internet. Sexting has become a widespread occurance that has destroyed lives and has caused emotional distress to many teenagers and young adults. Sexting gives teenagers the feeling of acceptance and the chance to be popular by gaining attention but what they fail to realize is the attention they are receiving is negative and it affects their reputation. Once a sext message has been sent, the receiver is given the opportunity to show the message to his or her peers and which will bring negative attention to the sender. Teenagerââ¬â¢s sext forâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬Å"More than a quarter of those ages 14-24 say theyve shared sexually explicit photos or chat online, despite potentially dire consequencesâ⬠(Poll Finds Sexting Common among Youth). The main reason that sexting occurs more during high school is peer pressure. ââ¬Å"Research shows teenage brains are not quite mature enough to make good decisions consistently. By the mid-teens, the brainââ¬â¢s reward centers, the parts involved in emotional arousal, are well-developed, making teens more vulnerable to peer pressure.â⬠(Poll Finds Sexting Common among Youth). Many teens feel peer pressure and they want to become popular or accepted by that one group of people that they are willing to risk their future and their body to prove to the group of people that they want to be accepted. Teens do not realize the consequences of sexting and what it can do. ââ¬Å"If a teenage girl sends out provocative pictures of herself and those pictures happen to exposed, her reputation is automatically jeopardized. If a male sends pictures of himself and they happen to be exposed his reputation and popularity may increase.â⬠(B., Katie). Sexting may make a males reputation much higher and may drop a females reputation. It is known that if a guy sexts then he is the man and it is putting out a good word for him, but when a girl sexts she is called a slut or a whore. ââ¬Å"Girls were a little more likely to send pictures of themselves. Night Creature Crescent Moon Chapter 20 Free Essays
Cassandra and I managed to get to our feet with the aid of the tomb at our backs. My head felt as if it might split in two. The scent of burning flesh wasnââ¬â¢t helping. We will write a custom essay sample on Night Creature: Crescent Moon Chapter 20 or any similar topic only for you Order Now I tried to catch a glimpse of whoever had shot Charlie and Mrs. Beasly, but I saw no one. The moon shadowed more than illuminated, and the graveyard was chock-full of tombs. Go figure. The shooter could be biding anywhere. However, if they had meant us harm, they wouldnââ¬â¢t have stopped at two bullets. ââ¬Å"Letââ¬â¢s get out of here.â⬠Cassandra bent to snatch her knife out of the gravel. ââ¬Å"Now she wants to leave.â⬠ââ¬Å"Donââ¬â¢t you?â⬠ââ¬Å"I never wanted to come here in the first place.â⬠She ignored the comment, tugging me toward the rear of the burial ground. I hung back, peering longingly at the streetlights. ââ¬Å"Whatââ¬â¢s wrong with the front door?â⬠ââ¬Å"Those gunshots are going to bring cops, if not mugs. I know a less public way out.â⬠ââ¬Å"Of course you do.â⬠But she had a point, so I went with her. I didnââ¬â¢t want to explain why there were two flaming dead people in the middle of St Louis Cemetery Number One. I doubted I even could. Besides, if the police found Cassandra here theyââ¬â¢d definitely think sheââ¬â¢d been stealing bodies, and then some. I needed her free and able to help me figure out what was going on, not locked up for body snatching and desecration of the dead. If they even locked people up for that anymore, although I kind of thought they did. She led me past a huge monument, which I recognized from the film Easy Rider. Peter Fonda had climbed up to sit in the lap of an angel. Iââ¬â¢d thought the scene a bit sacrilegious even then. Now, in the silver-tinged night, I thought it more so. This was a sacred place, a haunted place, a place where the living did not belong, and I wanted out of here as fast as I could go. We left the white stone monuments behind and stepped into a small rectangle filled with more traditional markers. ââ¬Å"Whatââ¬â¢s this?â⬠I whispered. ââ¬Å"Protestant section.â⬠No wonder it was so small. ââ¬Å"There.â⬠Cassandra pointed to a path that seemed to cut through someoneââ¬â¢s backyard. ââ¬Å"We shouldnââ¬â¢t ââ¬â â⬠I began. ââ¬Å"What the hell!â⬠An exclamation from the front of the cemetery was followed by more voices and the patter of feet. Flashlight beams began to flicker round and round. I practically dived out of the city of the dead. Cassandra and I emerged onto Robertson Street, which divided St Louis Number One from St Louis Number Two. From the guidebooks, I knew that where we were now was even rougher than where weââ¬â¢d been. But after what Iââ¬â¢d just seen, I had a hard time caring. We cut down the side of the cemetery, headed for the lights, but when we reached Basin Street we turned in the opposite direction of the increasing number of police cars. A fire engine and an ambulance passed within minutes. They werenââ¬â¢t going to be much help. ââ¬Å"What do you think they were?â⬠Cassandra asked. ââ¬Å"You first.â⬠ââ¬Å"Not zombies. The powder didnââ¬â¢t work and ââ¬â â⬠She shot me a sideways glance. ââ¬Å"As far as I know, zombies donââ¬â¢t explode when theyââ¬â¢re shot.â⬠ââ¬Å"What does?â⬠ââ¬Å"No clue. But did you seeâ⬠¦ ?â⬠ââ¬Å"The fangs?â⬠She let out a sigh of relief. ââ¬Å"I thought I was nuts.â⬠ââ¬Å"Of course you arenââ¬â¢t. Itââ¬â¢s perfectly sane to see dead people with fangs.â⬠And I wasnââ¬â¢t even being sarcastic. ââ¬Å"I saw the same thing you did,â⬠I said. ââ¬Å"But I donââ¬â¢t know what I saw.â⬠ââ¬Å"I think I do.â⬠ââ¬Å"Explain it to me.â⬠ââ¬Å"Dead people rising, growing fangs, and acquiring superhuman strength. You do the math.â⬠Iââ¬â¢d never been very good at math, but I could see where she was headed. ââ¬Å"Vampires?â⬠ââ¬Å"This is New Orleans.â⬠ââ¬Å"You keep saying that. Itââ¬â¢s still planet Earth, last I checked.â⬠ââ¬Å"Ever hear of Anne Rice?â⬠ââ¬Å"She writes fiction, Cassandra. Vampires arenââ¬â¢t real.â⬠ââ¬Å"Then what the hell was that?â⬠I didnââ¬â¢t know, but I was damn straight going to find out ââ¬Å"What do you know about vampires?â⬠I demanded. ââ¬Å"Bram Stoker, Anne Rice, Laurell K. Hamilton.â⬠She shrugged ââ¬Å"I like vampire books.â⬠ââ¬Å"And you call yourself a voodoo priestess.â⬠ââ¬Å"Voodoo and vampires, not the same thing,â⬠she said. ââ¬ËIââ¬â¢ll take your word for itâ⬠I went silent as we made our way to Royal Street. ââ¬Å"Whatââ¬â¢s the common thread in all of the books?â⬠ââ¬Å"The undead live forever. Coffins. Crucifix. Biting on the neck.â⬠ââ¬Å"Charlie was bitten on the neck. By an animal.â⬠ââ¬Å"According to legend, vampires can take the form of a wolf.â⬠ââ¬Å"Bingo,â⬠I whispered. I couldnââ¬â¢t believe in the short time since Iââ¬â¢d arrived in New Orleans Iââ¬â¢d gone from searching for an out-of-place wolf in the swamp to chasing zombies and considering vampires. Then again, this was New Orleans. We reached Cassandraââ¬â¢s shop. ââ¬Å"Do you have any books?â⬠I asked. ââ¬Å"On the paranormal?â⬠She unlocked the door and flicked on the lights. ââ¬Å"I think I mightâ⬠I followed her across the shop, skirting the snake cage, even though Lazarus appeared fast asleep or dead. Considering his name, I doubted either one was a permanent condition. Cassandra opened a glass-fronted case and pulled out one, two, three huge old volumes. Dust puffed as she set them on the counter. Then she bent and yanked another from a bottom shelf. ââ¬Å"We can start with these.â⬠I glanced at my watch. ââ¬Å"You care if I take them with me?â⬠ââ¬Å"Got an appointment?â⬠ââ¬Å"Kind of.â⬠ââ¬Å"Ruelle,â⬠she guessed. I was supposed to head into the swamp with Adam tonight. And while Iââ¬â¢d already decided to forgo that trip in favor of researching the vagaries of the vampire nation, that didnââ¬â¢t mean I didnââ¬â¢t want to do other things with him once I was through. My face must have revealed my intentions, because she frowned. ââ¬Å"Be careful.â⬠ââ¬Å"Why?â⬠ââ¬Å"Have you ever seen him in the daylight, Diana?â⬠I opened my mouth, shut it again. Thought hard. Hell. ââ¬Å"That doesnââ¬â¢t mean anything,â⬠I insisted. ââ¬Å"Seems odd to me.â⬠Now that she mentioned it, seemed odd to me, too. Still ââ¬â ââ¬Å"If Adam wanted to hurt me he could have a hundred times over.â⬠ââ¬Å"Maybe hurting you isnââ¬â¢t what heââ¬â¢s after.â⬠ââ¬Å"Whatââ¬â¢s that supposed to mean?â⬠I demanded. ââ¬Å"I donââ¬â¢t know. You still have the gris-gris?â⬠I tapped my pocket. ââ¬Å"Yep.â⬠ââ¬Å"I doubt thatââ¬â¢ll work against a vampire.â⬠She turned away. ââ¬Å"But this should.â⬠Cassandra reached into the display case near the register and withdrew a long gold chain. ââ¬Å"Canââ¬â¢t hurt, right?â⬠ââ¬Å"How will that help, hurt, or anything else?â⬠ââ¬Å"A crucifix a day keeps the vampires away.â⬠I stared at the fancy chain. ââ¬Å"What crucifix?â⬠ââ¬Å"Well, not a crucifix, exactly. A cross. Times a hundred.â⬠She held the necklace in front of my nose. The links themselves were in the shape of tiny fleurs-de-lis. ââ¬Å"This should work even better in theory,â⬠she continued. ââ¬Å"The fleur-de-lis is the symbol of the ââ¬ËVirgin Mary and, in some cases, the Trinity. Every little bit helps.â⬠I hesitated, but in the end, I took the gift and put it on. ââ¬Å"That doesnââ¬â¢t go around your neck,â⬠Cassandra murmured. ââ¬Å"Where else would it go?â⬠Cassandra reached out and lifted the thing over my head. ââ¬Å"Pull up your shirt.â⬠ââ¬Å"What?â⬠ââ¬Å"Relax. Iââ¬â¢m not hitting on you. Though if I were gay, youââ¬â¢d definitely be my type.â⬠I frowned, uncertain if I should be flattered or insulted. I decided on flattered. ââ¬Å"Havenââ¬â¢t you ever seen a belly chain?â⬠she asked. ââ¬Å"With a belly like mine? Youââ¬â¢ve got to be kidding.â⬠ââ¬Å"Thereââ¬â¢s nothing wrong with your belly. Pull up that shirt.â⬠The idea of draping jewelry across my gut, of accenting a part of me that did not need any accenting, went against everything Iââ¬â¢d learned as a big girl. ââ¬Å"Canââ¬â¢t I just wear it as a necklace?â⬠ââ¬Å"Too easy to yank off. A protective amulet is supposed to be hidden.â⬠She seemed so certain ââ¬â and really, what did I know about protective amulets? ââ¬â I gave in and tugged up my shirt. Cassandra quickly secured the chain. The cool links slid across my skin. Looking down, I was surprised the jewelry wasnââ¬â¢t tight, had in fact disappeared below the waistband of my jeans. Knowing it was there, I felt kind of sexy. ââ¬Å"Thanks,â⬠I said, and really meant it. ââ¬Å"What does fleur-de-lis mean?â⬠ââ¬Å"Rower of the lily. Represents perfection, light, and life. Christian symbolism again ââ¬â always in threes.â⬠ââ¬Å"Understandable. Do you have a computer?â⬠She blinked at my speedy change of subject. ââ¬Å"In back. Why?â⬠ââ¬Å"I want to know if Mrs. Beasly was ever found. I also want to research the name on that tomb.â⬠Cassandra smiled. ââ¬Å"You are good at this.â⬠I wasnââ¬â¢t so sure. Iââ¬â¢d never found anything I was searching for. But as dream Simon had told me, I needed to believe. After tonight, I believed, all right. I just wasnââ¬â¢t sure in what However, this time I wouldnââ¬â¢t let anything escape my attention. I was going to find a paranormal entity ââ¬â be it a loup-garou, a vampire, a zombie, or something Iââ¬â¢d never heard of ââ¬â and expose it to the world. Maybe then Simon could rest Maybe then I could. I followed Cassandra to her office. Huge, old, and slow, at least the computer worked. Arianna Beaslyââ¬â¢s name popped up in todayââ¬â¢s obituaries. â⬠ââ¬ËHeart attack after being bitten by a vicious dog,'â⬠I read. ââ¬Å"Sure she was.â⬠ââ¬Å"Her maiden name was Favreau, which explains where she was buried.â⬠ââ¬Å"Although it doesnââ¬â¢t explain how she got dumped in the tomb so fast.â⬠I glanced up. ââ¬Å"What?â⬠ââ¬Å"I donââ¬â¢t know how they do things in your neck of the woods, but down here a funeral takes a few days. And thatââ¬â¢s if there are no suspicious circumstances to warrant the police or an autopsy.â⬠ââ¬Å"True.â⬠I frowned. ââ¬Å"Did you see any bite marks on her?â⬠ââ¬Å"As many as I saw on Charlie.â⬠ââ¬Å"Weird, but I guess that answers my question.â⬠ââ¬Å"Which was?â⬠ââ¬Å"They were bom killed in basically the same way.â⬠ââ¬Å"Wound inflicted by a mystery canine,â⬠Cassandra murmured ââ¬Å"With said wound miraculously disappearing before the body rises and takes a little walk. So what does that mean?â⬠ââ¬Å"As soon as I know, you will.â⬠I picked up the books and headed for the mansion. I didnââ¬â¢t realize how much I wanted Adam to be waiting for me until I came through the door and discovered the place empty. Do not get used to him, Diana. You have to leave, and he doesnââ¬â¢t want you to stay. I made a peanut butter sandwich and coffee ââ¬â youââ¬â¢d think the way I ate, Iââ¬â¢d waste away to nothing, but no such luck ââ¬â then I settled onto my sleeping bag and began to read. Unfortunately, the events of the evening had worn me out, and I didnââ¬â¢t get much done before I succumbed to sleep. As soon as I awoke, I spent the next day and well into the night researching. The books were antiques, worth a small fortune. They were also full of great stuff. ââ¬Å"Crucifix, holy water, the Eucharist,â⬠I murmured. All Christian items, which was fascinating considering the idea of night-flying, bloodsucking demons was not only pre-Christian but also a belief held around the world. ââ¬Å"How did they protect themselves B.C.?â⬠Sunlight, salt, and ââ¬â ââ¬Å"Garlic.â⬠Of course. ââ¬Å"A member of the lily family.â⬠I fingered the fleur-de-lis chain at my waist, feeling better about it already. I continued to read, eating another peanut butter sandwich, drinking way too much coffee. I was hyped beyond belief and chattering to myself nonstop. ââ¬Å"Photos not a problem.â⬠Which made sense. According to the photo shop kid, werewolves couldnââ¬â¢t be photographed. But then, what had I seen in the swamp? Lord knew. ââ¬Å"However,â⬠I continued reading, ââ¬Å"reflections are.â⬠I considered the annoying lack of mirrors at Adamââ¬â¢s cabin. I didnââ¬â¢t really believe the man I was sleeping with was a vampire, did I? ââ¬Å"No.â⬠The sound of my own voice was getting on my nerves. But it was better than the sound of silence warring with the whirring confusion in my head. Iââ¬â¢d discovered how to kill them, how to slow them down; what I hadnââ¬â¢t been able to find was ââ¬â ââ¬Å"How do I know for certain Iââ¬â¢m dealing with a vampire?â⬠A shadow at the corner of my vision made me gasp and spin in that direction so fast my neck cracked painfully. Adam leaned against the wall. ââ¬Å"You think Iââ¬â¢m a vampire, cher?â⬠How to cite Night Creature: Crescent Moon Chapter 20, Essay examples

Ethical Problem of Joseph and Cindy-Free-Samples for Students

What is the standard of proof required in this case? 2.Describe the defence that Dr Lin could raise. This includes describing the elements of a valid consent (with supporting case law and legislation), and the process for obtaining consent in those circumstances when an adult cannot provide it themselves. 3.What are the possible outcomes of this case? 4.Identify two principles that are relevant in this scenario and describe how they apply to the facts in the scenario. 5.Describe where a conflict between these principles may arise by considering the different values of stakeholders in the scenario. 6.Apply the Kerridge et al. (2013) model for ethical problem solving to address the conflict. Answers: This essay demonstrates the legal action that would be taken against Dr. Lin. And the elements of the offence that Joseph and Cindy would need need to prove for the action to be successful. It includes the the standard of proof that should be given by them in this case. The essay deals with the defence that Dr Lin could raise and the possible outcomes of this case.It also includes the two principles that are relevant in this scenario with reference to Beauchamp and Childress (2009). 1.If Joseph and Cindy decided to sue Dr Lin it would be law suit filed against the doctor for medical negligence and the breach of duty care by the doctor. This is because she did not perform any medical tests before proceeding with the surgery. They can make an allegation on the doctor Ms Lin that she ignored her previous symptoms of forgetfulness and her elevated temperature due to urinary tract infection and performed the abdominoplasty(Baum, 2014).Joseph and Cindy can sue the doctor on the basis of being negligent of the symptoms and performing the surgery. They should provide the medical reports obtained after the autopsy of Sofie to find the exact reason of death. This worsened the condition of Sophie and ultimately led to her death. This is known as diagnostic mistake of Dr. Lin as she was in rush to perform the surgery. Joseph and Cindy need to file a case with the proof that the death of Sophie occurred due to the surgery performed by Dr. Lin. They should take the help of an experienced defense attorney and collect all the evidences of her medical reports including her condition and the symptoms occurred before conducting the surgery. These reports of Sophie will act as the standard of proof in this case. They can take the help of expert lawyers practicing in Singapore who have excellent knowledge of professional, legal and ethical issues in the medical profession(Cohen, 2013).They can help them in handling their matter in an effective manner.Joseph and Cindy can sue Dr Lin on the basis of Medical Malpractice and clainm for monetary compensation. They can avail for revovery that is avaialble for victimsand their family members suffering from medical negligience. The settlement is done on the basis of a large number of factors such as the severity of the harm faced by the patient, the amount of money spend by the patient in undergoing the surgery, the cost of life in th future of their husband and children due to the loss of Sofie, lack of finance and suffering bthat would occur after the death of the earning memeber in the family. On the basis of these grounds Josepgh nad Cindy can sue Dr, Lin and get monetary compensation after winning the case(Cave, 2016). 2.The defense that Dr. Lin could raise can be by producing several evidences of the fact that the cause of the death was not because of the actions of the medical doctor. The death of Sofie must have occured due to any other medical reasons which was not related to the abdominoplasty that she had undergone.Shge can also defend herself on the grounds that valid consent form that was filled by the husband of Sophie, Joseph. She might fight for the reason that if, the operation did not succeed, the she cannot be said to be negligent as it is already mentioned in the consent form that the patient can die after the surgery(Herring, 2014). A consent acts as the basic right for a patient to decide whether he or she wants the treatment or not. The decision of patient is considered irrespective of the fact that if he denies the medical treatment, it may result in her death. If a medical surgeon tries to perform a surgery without a proper consent from the patient, then he or she is considered l iable for criminal action and can be sued. Dr. Lin might provide the consent by explaining that Sophie was not in a normal state to fill the consent form, so her husband was asked to fill it 3.The possible outcome of this case is that it is possible that Dr. Lin might win the case as it cannot be proved that the treatment of Sophie by Lin was against the medical norms under prevailing the medical jurisprudence .It can also not be proved that Dr. Lin was negligent or lacked in any manner while performing the surgery of the patient.Joseph and Cindy cannot prove that the health of Sophie worsened due to the surgery that is abdominoplasty performed by Dr. Lin The appeal of Joseph and Cindy might get dismissed on the basis of lack of proper evidence and expert opinion produced by them to prove negligence of Dr. Lin(Terranova, 2016). 4.The two principles that are relevant in this scenario are the respect for autonomy and beneficience. Respect for autonomy is one of the most important aspects in the field of medical ethics. It involves respecting the decisions of the patient and the right to make his or her own choice. In this case Dr. Lin asked Sophie whether she wants to proceed with the surgery of abdomen or not and Sophie was very keen and agreed to proceed with it. But the doctor completely forgot and did not ask Sophie to fill up the consent form. The appeal of Joseph and Cindy might get dismissed.because only making an allegation on Dr. Lin will not make it a case of negligence unless and until it is being proven by a proper and a reliable evidence(Furrow, Greaney, Johnson, Schwartz, 2014). Beneficience means that the nurses should try their best in providing quality care that would help in improving the health and well being of their patients .It refers that the doctors or the clinicians should work towards the welfare and the benefit of the patients. They should try their best to perform their duties and be responsible towards their patients. The health professionals providing patient care should be responsible towards their patients as well towards their family members(Ball, Murrells, Rafferty, Griffiths, 2013). The clinicians should be supportive and should provide guidelines on the various precautions to be taken. They should also make sure they solve their problems and issues. They should provide appropriate health care services by using proper communication skills and ensure patient satisfaction. They should provide proper counseling and psychosocial care to get rid of emotional health like pain, anxiety; distress and low self esteem occurred due to the health i ssues. In this case Dr. Lin tried her best to provide proper medication and care to Sophie before proceeding for the surgery. She was administered a pre-operative medication so that she drifts off to sleep and does not feel the pain of abdominoplasty and as a result the surgery was successful and Sophie was advised an oververnight stay in hospital and was discharged home the next day(Daly Jackson, 2017). 5.The conflict on the basis of the principls explained above are that Dr. Lin respected the choice of Sophie and procceeded with the surgery only after knowing that she was keen on having it.She did not force her to undergo abdominolplasty. But, her husband Joseph was not sure about her decision and nodded his head when Dr. Lin said that she was having symptoms only due to another urinary tract infection. Dr. Lin tried her best so that the surgery becomes successfiul and provided propr care to Sophie(Turner, 2015)(Hube, 2013). But the problem arose when after seven days of surgery, Sofie did not not recovered at all from her surgery. She had an increased temperature, was suffering from high pulse rate and became much more disorientated than she was before the surgery. She was transferred back to hospital. Unfortunately, Sofie was suffering from a post-operative infection and sepsis. Despite providing her proper care, her condition deteriorated in a rapid manner and Sofie passed away.Hence, this incidence left Joseph nad Cindy devastated and they planned to sue Dr Lin for the same. 6.According to Kerridge et al. (2013) model for ethical problem Joseph and Cindy can file a case in the court against Dr. Lin on the basis of Law of Negligence as it requires a few more factors other than care for the patient. It is important for Joseph and Cindy, who wish to sue Dr Lin in negligenc to show a few evidences that they owed her a legal duty to take care of Sophie and she breached the legal duty given to her.She did not diagnose the medical condition of the patient in a proper manner and did not understand the nature of the proposed cosmetological procedure that is abdominoplasty that was proposed by her. Before proceeding with the surgery she must have reesearched about the the risks that might occur in future due to proposed medical treatment. Dr. Lin should must also have give a second thought about any other alternatives to the proposed treatment, and the advantages and risks involved with those alternatives. Joseph and Cindy should also show the proof that the breac h caused them a lot of damage which led to the death of Sofie(Wall Morrison, 2014).But Joseph and Cindy did not proper evidence. But, in this case Dr. Lin can defend herself by apealing that the death of Sofie did not occur duye the cosmetological traet, ment that is abdominoplasty. It would have occured due to tyhe irinary tract infection which she was already suffering from before.; Hence, it can be concluded that Joseph and Cindy can sue Dr. Lin and file a case against her as she performed abdominoplasty by giving antibiotics ,when Sofie was suffering from forgetfulness and elevated temperature of the body. She also forgot to get the consent form filled by Sofie and asked Joseph to fill the same. This led to the death of Sofie after a week even when the surgery was successful and the sudden death of Sofie lead both Joseph and Cindy in shock. They can ask for a monetary compensation by producing all the reports and medical bills to the court. Dr. Lin can also defend herself by saying that by explaining the medical laws that Sophie was not in a normal state to fill the consent form, so her husband was asked to fill it. She can produce several poofs tha Sofie was provided proper care before and after the surgery and her death is not necessary the result of abdominoplasty and it might have occured due to other medical reasons Bibliography Ball, Murrells, Rafferty, Griffiths, (2013).
